Please read the terms and conditions carefully before use of this site, as continued use constitutes agreement bound between you and The Village Cakery Christchurch. You must be 18 to enter this agreement. Each registration is for a single user.

We reserve the right to amend or withdraw our service on our site without notice at anytime. We will not be liable if our site is unavailable.
Purchases:
- Any products purchased from this site are for personal use only. Commercial use is prohibited unless we have been notified prior to ordering. Your order constitutes an offer to us to buy a product. After placing an order, you will receive an confirmation email, notifying you that your order has been accepted.
- We work in a home kitchen which handles all allergens, including: tree nuts, traces of nuts, gluten, eggs, soya, celery, crustaceans, fish, lupin, molluscs, mustard, peanuts, sesame, sulphur dioxide and sulphites. Therefore we cannot accept orders from those with allergies, as whilst we have strict hygiene routines, there is still a risk of cross contamination. We are unable to accept any liability for any damage to health or any distress caused by the consumption of such products. - If we discover any errors in your order (for example: incorrect pricing) then we will notify you via the email you placed your order using as soon as possible. If you notice any errors in your order confirmation, you must notify us immediately using any method available on the website or by contacting us on thevillagecakerychristchurch@gmail.com
- We will never dispatch an order until it has been paid for in full. We reserve the right to cancel any order and refund the cost in full. Payment will be collected by our chosen payment provider.
- If you wish to cancel you must notify us no later than the Tuesday before dispatch at 11:59pm. If your order has been processed, a refund is at the discretion of The Village Cakery Christchurch.
- It is your responsibility to provide accurate and up to date personal information so we can fulfill your order. You acknowledge that all details you provide are correct and that the credit card or any other payment method that you propose to use is your own or that of a third party of whom has given you full permission and authority to use and the third party has sufficient funds to meet the cost of the transaction. We will only use your Personal Data in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1988, The Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive)(Amendment) Regulations 2011 and our Privacy and Cookies Policy.

Refunds, Delivery & Collection:
- We post all orders within 7 days of ordering. Please contact us if you would like your order sooner, as we may be able to complete your order quicker, but it is not guaranteed. For example, if you were to order on Saturday 15th June, your order would be posted on Wednesday 22th June. IF you are ordering for collection, your bakes will be available to collect on the following Saturday. For example, if you were to order on Wednesday 22nd June, your order would be available to collect on Saturday 25th June.
- At present we use Royal Mail Tracked24 for all postal orders, but this is subject to change if the reliability or guarantee of the service is compromised. Once dispatched, orders are normally delivered within 48 hours. No courier company can guarantee 100% next day delivery, but our couriers have a high success rate. All products are baked fresh to order and individually sealed, to account for any slight delays there may be within the postal system. Please be aware during peak times (around Christmas, New Years Eve, and Easter for example), there may be a longer delay with the courier due to higher demand. We will work with both you as our customer and the courier to rectify any issues which may occur.
- Unfortunately, we are unable to refund late or undelivered items. We are unable to refund items delivered later than required in the event of adverse weather.
- If you receive the product damaged or different from the one you have selected, please contact us immediately. An investigation will be launched, and if an issue is found to be caused by us, we will rectify the issue as soon possible, either with a gesture of goodwill or another resolution if another option is more suitable.
- If a complaint is made more than 24 hours after delivery, we are not liable. If the goods are damaged, please retain all packaging so we can inspect if necessary.
- If you are collecting an order, any damage once the product has left our premises is not our responsibility nor are we liable.
- As all products are handmade to order, there may be some differences between the product photos and what you receive in your order. Any colours on our products have been photographed to reflect as close to the actual colour as possible, however there may be some discrepancies due to screen settings and resolution. We are unable to accept product returns for this reason.
- Since taste is subjective, we are unable to accept the return of any of our products due to not liking the taste of a product.
- The products ordered are baked fresh to order, and should remain fresh for up to 5 days from the dispatch date if kept at an ambient temperature & stored in an airtight container. We are not liable for the products once they have been delivered, and we will not be liable for any deterioration of the products once received.
- Once 7 days have passed since your order, we are unable to offer a refund or exchange. To return a product, it must be unused, in the same condition you received it and in the original packaging. This enables us to do a full investigation into your complaint. It is your responsibility to return the product back to us, and the postage charge for returns is non-refundable. Once the return has been received, we will email you to notify you that we have received it. Once our investigation is complete, we will contact you by email to notify you if we have approved or declined your refund request. If approved, your refund will be processed and a credit minus any delivery charges will be automatically applied to the original method of payment. If rejected, another charge may apply to re-send the products back to you. Please ensure if returning a product, you retain proof of postage.
- We are unable to accept liability if you have provided incorrect delivery details. It is your responsibility to keep personal and delivery details up to date prior to ordering.
- It is your responsibility to ensure there will be someone present at the time of delivery, have a nominated neighbour or have safe space details registered with Royal Mail, as our postals will not fit through a letter box. We cannot be held responsible for failed deliveries. It is your responsibility to liaise with the courier and re-arrange delivery or collection upon a failed attempt.
- If on delivery, you as the buyer refuse to take delivery of the products, liability remains with you and you are responsible for any loss caused by this.
- We will not accept the return of any of our products that have been purchased from any other source other than our website www.thevillagecakerychristchurch.co.uk
The provisions of this clause do not affect your statutory rights.
